I wouldnt count on a cast performing there though. The management has always, with a single exception, been very anti-Rocky.

On a side-note, thats the theater I started at in '92. Memories...

There will be a cast.

I talked to them about it when Bruce Campbell did his signing there.

Yeah, I can verify that, Calvin.

Jim, Mina, Jef, Lynda, Kassi, Jeff, Carlos, etc. are playing that one. Damn them.

I was thinking about Lynda the other day and what a great Magenta I thought she was... just kind of out of the blue...

If James gets off early enough that Friday I wonder if I could talk him into driving down???HMMMM...
If anyone else is intersted I would pay for the gas for the trip... But I'd have to be back Saturday to see the Star Wars show...

Why aren't we having an anniversary show, again?

EDIT: I think I'm gonna go. I forgot we were doing our Star Wars anniversary show thingie also though. Friday would be a bit rough after working all day, but doable I guess. I just wouldn't expect me to be able to drive very far back without pulling over and napping. Unless Allie had somewhere for us to crash overnight.

Ha, I wish I could help, but I'll be in Austin that weekend for school stuff, so I'm definitely not going to the River Oaks show. I really don't keep in touch with anyone from the Houston cast except Jim, but I think the person to contact if you want more info would be Mina... I'm pretty sure she's directing it.

I don't know if yall were still planning on going to this, but I was reading Kassi's journal (Kassi will be playing Janet...) and came across this correspondence between Kassi, Mina, and Carlos:

I'll keep you all posted so you don't end up making a wasted trip to Houston.

And if you do go, be careful... just got a 300 dollar ticket in Bastrop last week :(

Yeah, with Galveston already being evacuated and landfall of Hurricane Rita predicted to be somewhere on the Texas Gulf Coast Saturday... I'm thinking I'll just stay home this weekend after all. Hopefully they'll reschedule or something.

EDIT: Ah, saw it later in the blog

Due to the pending hurricane, the 30th Anniversary shows this weekend have been moved to next weekend, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Pass it on.

So, anybody want to go next weekend?? Conditions permitting.
James and i went and got my mom and the essential household gods from CC last night (after poor baby worked a 14 hour day, then drove up here to my in-laws' in Granbury, where she and I will be staying for the next 4 days or so... after all this i could use some enjoyment.

Second Saturday of each month it seems. And dear god, Mina just tossed up a slick looking site there. *shakes fist at these graphic artisty type people* Nice photos, too.

ROAD TRIP!?
I will have gas money by then.
If we go, we really have to bring the Meat Loaf CDs...

I second that with buttloads of little smileyfaces I still haven't mastered the trick of actually getting to appear yet (so visualize an infinite row...)
I've always wanted to see you play Magenta, I don't think I did on any trip to Houston, and I was gone the night you played her here...

Hurray! I'm so excited, I've always wanted to play at River Oaks but never really thought I'd have the opportunity. The only knock on it is that it's only once a month so actually getting cast is a rarity.
Jim's in charge of casting and he prefers my Magenta to my Janet and Columbia, so it's likely that that's all I'll play there.
You guys better come!

Let me state for the record that I think Allie's Janet is superb. Her Columbia is good as well. A more accurate statement would be that I prefer her Magenta to almost anyone else's and therefore like having her in that role.

I must have been drinking more heavily than I thought that year because I don't remember your presence *quite* that early in our run there.

Looking forward to seeing all of you on the 10th. Big Fun! (Sui-cide.. Don't Do It!!)
