first up:
ABBA. C'mon people. It's A Fuckin' ABBA Sing-A-Long. First weekend is August 6, so I can't make it, but Lisa and I will be going to the ones on the 13 and the 27 (all at 7pm) and you should totally come with us!

Next:
Brush up on Paul's Boutique because the Beastie Boys Rap-Along starts August 10.

But, this one is for Shawn and Joanna:

September 10th is the PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE SING-A-LONG.
I fuckin' hate that movie, but I wanna go just to see Shawn and Joanna wet themselves and shed tears of joy.

Who is with us? 'Kay. Good.

I'll totally go to at least one of the ABBA singalongs. And yeah, Joanna already left a message being giddy about the Phantom Of The Paradise singalong. :D I'm pretty sure Kevin and Summer are down for that one as well. Hee hee.

Carburetors, man. That's what life is all about...

I'm taking Summer to the Queen sing-a-long on Thursday if anyone is down for that. It's one of her birfday presents.

Oh Lindsay...ABBA? Really? Really-really-really-really? I'll go with you guys to the Aug 13 show, most certainly.

(And Shawn, you're right. I'm making you take me along to the POTP singalong.)

I love the Alamo Drafthouse.

Are there still tickets or whatever for Queen?! Cause, I mean, they are the best band of all time. Yeah. *Loves her Freddie*

They're also going to have Beastie Boys rap-a-longs in August (10, 17, 31 -- Thursdays). Adam Yauch is a Tibetan Buddhist.

August 20, they will celebrate H P Lovecraft's birthday with a film festival!

The Alamo Drafthouse totally rocks!

David, contemplating:
She said, "Hee, hee... that's not my navel!"
I said, "That's okay... that's not my finger!"

oy, that *is* a ways away :( glad you're back, Miss Helena!

dear, do you still need me to bring my other corset for you? like i said, the laces may require a bit of play, but it could still work out in a pinch, no pun intended...

So it was. My apologies, Miss Raini.

If you'd like, but it's not necessary. Miss Holli was good enough to let me borrow two nice, easy, non-lacers.

Got all my makeup now. Oy, I'm a queer. But I'm ready.

Knowing how to apply make-up does not make you a queer. In fact, it is at times quite helpful to know. And you can make drill sergeants really nervous by knowing these things too.

No, but being bi and trans does. I stand by my statement.

i think you did a pretty swell job with the makeup last night, miss helena. most people fret and have others do it for them (guilty), but you were very determined to learn it on your own. next week should be a breeze for you

Alrighty, my ticket for the Phantom of the Paradise Sing-A-Long is all purchased and stuff. I didn't realize that Paul Williams himself was going to be there too.

You should have seen the look I got from my Company Commander when he was telling us how to put on shirt stays, and I was like "Oh, yeah, it's just like a garter belt!" People were like "How do you know how to put on a garter belt?" LOL. Miss you guys, especially you, Cal.
