i've been meaning to ask you or james, how does one find out about auditions at the vortex? or at any of our many local theatres for that matter. i really wanna get back into community theatre. i miss it way too much.

The Vortex summer youth production is an adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters; the cast are mainly teenagers with a few adult guest artists. James is in it, in a small role, and Sebastian and Tricia Storie (old cast) both ave bigger parts I have been enjoying it (gone every night to see 5 min of James) and can reccomend it...It's tonight, Friday and Saturday at the Vortex on Manor Road, 478-LAVA.Ian also worked on this. |

as a adult artist you have to be invited to do summer youth theater. other wise they usually post auditions on their website http://www.vortexrep.org also check the chronicle under their auditions category |

I think it's like $25 a year to join. http://www.acotonline.org you can also try http://www.austinactors.net/auditions though I should probably mention that it is a mix of film and theatre. You can also sign up for individual sites like hyde park, rude mechs and the such. Hope that helps. |
