a.k.a. "Christmas After Christmas". This was by far the largest holiday audience I've ever seen at Rocky. We were completely sold out in one of the larger theatres, with half the front row occupied and everything. We sold four cast t-shirts (only two of them left now!) as well as all the prop bags we had. Between Halloween and school getting back into session in January is usually a down period as far as Rocky Horror audiences... but not this year! Great show, everyone.

I was surprised, too. When I was initially getting into Rocky in Austin, I was a student at SWT. While I was in Corpus for the Xmas holiday, a friend and I drove up to see the show at Northcross on 12/27/1987. There were few audience members and two whole cast members performing.

So, um, a rebel without a Claus?

And then there was that year Larry Viezel was driving through Texas during the holidays and stopped by Wells Branch to see Rocky. Only they apparently had about half a cast, ten audience members, and were trying to drag Larry into playing something. One of the reasons Raini was excited to have him visit last year was to disavow him of the notion that our shows are normally like that.

Yeah, that photo was way overexposed but I still liked the scary look of it after I processed it some. :D
