Nonononononononono! He spent a lot of time explaining why cows should be happy grazing in pastures and not used as a mere food source! he was really passionate about it :P

Ouch! These three Repo reviews (including one from Austin) were the ones that happened to be included in my "Rocky Horror" Google news feed for the week:

News8Austin.com: "Repo! The Genetic Opera" hard to survive
MTV.com: 'Repo! The Genetic Opera': Schlocky Horror Show
WCBSTV.com: 'Repo! The Genetic Opera': One of the worst movies of the year, if not all time

The thing to know about REPO is that it isn't for everyone - and also try to remember these are the same retards giving movies like Beverly Hills Chihuahua standing ovations

wait....there is actually a movie called "Beverly Hills Chihuahua?"

um...why?

And by 'why' I mean: 'why the hell was that ever made?' and 'why would anyone force something that terrible upon the world?'

As for "why", this is the answer:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10008587-beverly_hills_chihuahua/numbers.php

$88 million and counting for talking chihuahuas, including two weeks as the #1 film. The audiences must have all been hypnotized by the voice acting of Drew Barrymore and Plácido Domingo.

So when I first saw the preview for that piece-of-crap talking chihuahua sad excuse of a film, and the kids next to me started going, "I wanna see THAT, dad" (I was with my dad seeing WallE) I actually audibly started groaning and saying "why?" very loudly.

Keep in mind, I am a huge fan of children's shows and whatnot. But as a former employee of a vet clinic....very few chihuahuas are deserving of their own fucking movie. I can name 3.

The kids are a cash cow... parents seem to want to take the brats to anything that will keep them from screeching about their Tickle Me Elmo for five minutes.

...Tickle Me Elmo really I don't know if you can even buy one anymore, I would love to get a Furby.

Kids are dumb. They enjoy talking things because they are things...that talk. It's not talent or story. It's things that talk when they shouldn't.
This has doomed most entertainment forever.

So did any of the reviewers actually WATCH?? They could not have been at the theatre when Kerry and Allison were there singing their hearts out-word for word and the audience clapping and hollering for joy when the movie began, certain characters came on-screen and when the movie ended. Wow.......

First of all, nice try. That's obviously John Erler in a wig, and you can see Matt Jones (out of focus) in the background. Fake.

One of my favorite never-given-a-chance shows was Wonderfalls. Sigh.

When I use to do movie reviews (ok I did one but when with my friend Chris a lot to bat ideas around) we were given a pre-released show just for the critics to watch, so there was no out side influences from a normal audience or some time we would be given a pre-released short of the movie, or we would go watch it just as any one else would. just depends on how they watch it, and how they formed there option, also how much money the paper was given to wright a good review or to discredit another.

I think the weekend that Beverly Hills Chihuahua shot to number one was right after a week when the stock market had dived abt eighty thousand points.

Continuing Friday 14 Nov -- Master Pancake Mocks Forrest Gump (fried Jenny, boiled Jenny, Jenny gumbo...). John Erler makes wry observations in this send-up of Tom Hanks greatest role since his turn in BOSOM BUDDIES.

Okay, I feel lika a massive jackass for posting about the review earlier, but I just got home after another long trip to SA, slept in the truck and we celebrated our anniversary today by having a minor wreck, so serious damage, James is just a bit upset about it. So my brain's not up to par.
But, like I said, RHPS got horrible reviews when it nfirst came out, people fell in love with it and we've certainly had the last laugh. If most people like anything, at this point in our culture, you knoiw it's gonna be a pile of reeking shit.
