I'm sitting here running the Rocky DVD at 1.5x speed while proofing the spotlight guide, and something occured to me. Sweet Transvestite might make for an interesting speed metal song. Has anyone heard of some band doing that?

Here's a good place to start (and yes, I really should put more work into actually updating rockymusic.org on occasion):

Then if you're just wanting cover songs (and not cast album performances, videos, etc):

It's been awhile since I listened to the Bates Motel cover, but that might be close. It's from their "Tales Of Ordinary Madness" album:

Oh, speaking of metal versions of Rocky songs I have to share this one:

http://www.rockymusic.org/mp3/castalbum ... dic-07.mp3

That's "Hoppum Út Um Allan Sal (Hot Patootie)" from the 1995 Icelandic cast album of The Rocky Horror Show. For whatever reason, they completely reimagined the song as an ode to Death Metal. The whole thing is in Icelandic, except that they say "death metal" in English for the chorus. So instead of "Hot Patootie Bless My Soul..." it goes "Hoppum út um allan sal. Ó, ég dái death metal". It's a trip.

it means, "Hop all around the room, I admire death metal".
