I stumbled upon this site and felt compelled to post something...Rocky was a huge part of my life for 10 years and it brings a lump to my throat to see how strong the presence still is here in Austin.

I was a part of the cast in Austin from 1992-1994. When I first moved into the area I didn't know a soul. I had been a cast member in Gainesville, FL, so the first Friday that came I scooted off to the Northcross Mall and there I met the people who would become my best friends for 3 lovely years. Jocelyn and Rachel and Adam and John and Laura and Rick (oh, how I miss Rick) and Howard and Kyle and Eric and Kali...........so strange that the sun rose and set with these people, yet now they are all gone from my life.

One weekend we drove from Austin to Florida to do a cast exchange - probably making history as the longest road trip ever by a Rocky cast - and when I look at those pictures I am still struck by how a mere film could bring so much comraderie and friendship to people all over the world. Whenever I meet someone who was once a Rocky member, I have an instant friend. Nothing else can compare to the bonds you make through Rocky.

The pre-show excitement and the post-show coffees are just a memory for me now, but they still live on with you guys. You are all carrying a torch that has been handed down through thousands of people - people who have moved on, but still think fondly of those crazy Friday and Saturday nights surrounded by family that you could kill and kill for. The condom volleyball...the fights in the lobby...the tearful making up in the bathroom...the hours spent finding the perfect Columbia hat...the road trips in costume...the smell of whiteface that lingers all week on your clothes........

Thank you all for continuing to keep the light on over at the Frankenstein place.......

Heh...been awhile since I've seen Eric. And yes, Rick (or "Poison Ivy" depending) was freaking cool.

Heard my name mentioned here again after many years of silence.

Be careful, lest in speaking my name you conjure me back from the grave.

I haven't had to come back and take over the cast in almost 10 years. God forbid I show up lurking again in the back of the theatre making everyone nervous.

Seriously, its nice to see you guys have still got it together. I don't expect that I will show up anytime soon lest I see something I don't like and become tempted...

I haven't been to this site since I was completely left out of the "history" on the old site. Not that I was ever that important, huh? Jeez, you piss a few people off...

Anyone who doesn't know about me can surely ask Shawn. I'm sure he would have some choice stories to tell.

For god sakes, don't look at the screen.

I remember one time overhearing someone talking abt nudism and then quoting Shakespeare and just on a hunch mentioned Rocky to her and her friends -- she turned around and it was Toto! It's interesting how there's something there even though it seems like it ought to be impossible that going out late at night and participating in an event featuring the same movie over and over again could ever generate anything other than yawns. But it does! And Eric's name sure sounds famliar, which is a rarity for me -- my memory is like a sieve.

bored surfing the net, and wondering how many other OLD cast members find themselves looking at all the new and improved cast....be real interesting to know what is going on with the oldies. isn't it interesting how even as life goes on there are certain things that draw you back to them. I like Pookie(exmagenta) look back at my Rocky experience with great fondness. I spent approx. 4-5 years of my life somewhat devoted to that "stupid movie", yet I met people who will forever be in my heart and memory whethter I ever see them again or not... It still makes me laugh to hear James call KLBJ and rant or be on ACTV and rant, and all I can think of is "Hey, I know that guy!" Life moves on, but I can assure you, I will never forget the people, the thrill, and the love of "The Rocky Experience!......Robert

He was from right before I joined the cast. i.e. He, Howard, and Rachel were all people I'd heard of but never saw play. Met Rachel and Rick but not the others, as far as I recall. Rick was around a bit longer than anyone else. Gotta love Rick doing Trixie in drag as Poison Ivy... :)

God how I miss Howard (the guy who got me to go to my first Rocky Horror show, at Northcross), Rachel, Rick, Kali, and a ton of other people from the early 90s. ::cries::

(I do not, however, miss "Rot In Hell Eric".)

The memories...They are a-flooding in.

I am so stunned at all of news about everyone. I think a part of me believed that everyone in the cast I was with would stay young and unchanged...not married and moved away and no longer a part of Rocky.

Bobert, you have to e-mail me and let me know what you're up to. phoenix00000@yahoo.com (those are zeros) We have to gossip. Hopefully we can trade.

Patrick...I'm trying to place you. Jocelyn and I were good friends and I remember Adam and Howard moving to Seattle, but I'm having trouble placing you. The years (and acid abuse) have hampered my memory.

Any news on Rick? I miss Rick like a demon. Anyone know if he's still in town?

The last I heard he was still in town and back living with his parents due to his condition. But that was quite some time ago.

And I guess I just wasn't that memorable as many people here don't remember me. :)
