Ok, not really masses, but the Columbians. Columbia SC (where i am) is in desperate need of a Rocky cast, we have the interest, just not the know how. Soo, Old Hats, how does one go about bringing Rocky to a new city??? BECK PS: I know about 6 or 8 of you are going to say something a long the lines of i am in no way cut out for starting a cast, so save it. I just want answers not comments from you mother fuckers. |

Columbia, Columbia... That names seems to ring a bell... Oh yeah, it's just like Columbine except with an "ne" instead of an "a." David, stuck in a time warp (and a desk chair when I should be partying) |

I would recommend finding a venue with both the interest, and capabilities. Then, start the mad search for the film, players(12 and 3 spares that could jump in for any role), techies(however many you think your cast will need), props, costumes, and lights. You've got your work cut out for you sweetie. Wish I could be there to help. C'est la vive... Pax, Tricia |

getting on that talking to venues thing, have about half a cast together so far, who are working on costumes (I love them) now, how does one find a print of the film. Ebay? |

Hardly. And even if you did, you'd have to keep it in a closet and not show it to anyone. The theater contacts their local 20th Century Fox film booker and they work on obtaining a print for that theater. It's pretty much internal theater stuff. In severe cases where the theater is really wanting to show Rocky badly and they're having problems getting a print for whatever reason, calling Sal Piro is an option. He's stepped in numerous times to get on the phone with Lou Adler or whoever and get a print for a theater. |
