Is anyone around here thankful for anything? Are we all a bunch of ingrates? I'm thankful for.... my Berry my Lisa my HoDot my HoMick my family (the ones who don't suck, so that leaves about 6 people) the rest of my buddies (Cal, Lauren, Britt, Shawnie, etc.) I'm also thankful for... Chicken pot pie hot pockets AIM Harry FUCKIN' Potter Homestar Runner Strong Bad Deodorant (come on now, think about how horrible the world would smell without it. Middle Ages much?) lots o stuff |

I am thankful for: Lindsay Berry My ho's (Dot, Mick, Norm, Bruce) Brittany(even during breakdowns at walmart) WalMart My grandparents PapaSON! Boys who change tires(go chad its your birthday!) 24 Hour places Hot water warm bed home family plumbing times to be had, times shared, times never to forget Stories to listen to, stories to be told love of life there is more i promise |

I am unbelieveably greatful for him. I love him beyond description. He is better to and for me than anybody has ever been. And a few survived, not just diseases but deliberate attempts to exterminate them. The spreading of smallpox was an early example of germ warfare during the "removal" -- The Trail of Tears. The US Army passed out blankets to the various tribes being displaced from the southern part of this nation that had been in hospitals where smallpox patients had died, without washing them. It has nothing to do with the celebration of Thanksgiving. If the Pilgrims spread any formerly European diseases to the aboriginal inhabitants of Turtle Island, I'm certain it was not deliberate. The Pilgrims would not have survived without the help of their native brothers and sisters; witness Jamestown years earlier. Like Uncle Will said, "We didn't come over on the Mayflower, but we met it when it got here." Or like Ann Richards said, "We can't help it if they ran into a rock." Peace! David |
