Today in LAtin class, we learned that, when free falling, losen your body muscles and you'll bounce off the ground. And you wont be hurt as much. We also learned the origin of the word, lesbian. I love latin class.. (JCL on Saturday morning...how fun)

Well apparently... either from a 7 story window or while skydiving, it applies.. he said its because it makes you all rubber-like and bounce-worthy...

but then again, when you reach terminal speed, the air resistance around you is equal to your weight and therefore i suppose the heavier you weigh, there is an increased chance of shall we say....mortality?

anyways..

physics and latin all in the same room! muahaha.

you catholics out there dont forget to get your pores clogged today..

and remember kids, being pagan in a catholic school will waste approx. 98.45% of your time.

Eh...parents trying to "fix" them, kids rebelling......Catholic school (or any parochial school for that matter) does strange things to people.

Well...what happened is that I had a choice to go to a different school in 7th grade (O Henry..which is pretty much right across the street from my house)... and I didnt choose to leave my old school (St. Austins..yes, on the drag) because all of my friends at the time were there. In 8th grade, however, I noticed powerful changes in friends and religion and such and I requested numerous times to leave the school and my parents told me I couldnt... Then when interviews for st. michaels came about, i screwed it up and unfortunately, the one doing the interviewing was a punk-ish teacher who "understood my needs".. I dunno.. Twas crazy..

Then my parents said I could leave after sophomore year and go JR and SR year someplace else...

But did it happen? no.

And I dont want to get kicked out or anything because I want to go to a good college and dont want to be kicked out because I'm pissed at the school (which I am).. I wear the same pentacle necklace each day and plenty of people dont seem to care (although freshman year i had quite a bit of trouble)..

They make us go to mass every other week and take theology classes.. Its not SOOO bad... but it is funny to bring forth contradicting views and such...

JR year is focused on world religions and peace and justice..not nessecarily "god told his people this and that" or "jesus was a very nice man"... its more like "hindus are cool!" and "make love, not war"... But yeah..

I'm actually one of two pagans in my school (the other is Hindu) and stuff... we have a few atheists here and there and some Jewish kids too... but its mainly catholic..

And no, we dont wear the schoolgirl uniforms..
(did at my old skool though...somewhat)

I wonder what an un-warped mind would be?

It's easy to tell other people what they oughta believe or not believe, but take it from me, you gotta figure it out for yourself. And you'll be a lot easier to live with if you mind your own business and don't spend all your time judging what other people think and believe. I know, I do it too, but I try not to. Any belief can be carried to an extreme, what's most important is how you treat other people (hint: Love). Rituals and doctrines may help or hinder you, but in either case they are not what matters most.

I don't know about that, All the atheists I know or have read about talk about God, gods and religeons in general an awful lot considering they don't belive in any gods, if that isn't screwed up in and of itself, I don't know what is. And buddahism makes you think that ass-hopping is flying, same thing.

no offence to any atheists, of buddists out there.
