Groovy. A couple of notes, though:

It mentions "Dress up! Throw rice! Squirt water pistols!"
Are they actually going to allow that?

Also, it has a link to the internal cast rules. That shouldn't really be there, should it? We could perhaps create a page with cast rules for the audience.

Just a thought.

I'm really glad that you nutty funsters have found a new home and especially that it is gonna be drafty (kinda sucks for the 17-year-olds who are old enough to do R-rating but still can't do it there, but what the hell). Does this mean you're gonna have a major blowout for both the last night at the old home and the first night at the new?

See you in seven,
Uncle Satan (the ever-popular relation of damnation)

Dressing up or down or not at all may be allowed. As far as the food items (rice & water), I don't think so, and I certainly do hope they will NOT allow it. But you'd have to ask someone who knows.

There will not be rice, but water guns and toast will be allowed. We are going to try selling colored popcorn as a substitute for rice. Not to sure we have to work it all out. Anymore questions I can answer?

But what about the link to our internal cast rules? Should we ask them to remove that link?

Oddly enough, on the page where they sell the tickets, http://www.originalalamo.com/online_tix/show_details.asp?show_id=2176, there are not any links to any local pages -- it is extremely generic. I think the excellent history of Austin Rocky that our comrade from Corpus Delecti put together ought to be linked to, but then who am I to say?

I agree that internal matters, such as cast rules, do not need to be disseminated. For example, it would be a drag for someone in the audience to reprimand a cast member during a performance for a perceived violation. I would personally piss upon such a person, although that might just as easily happen for no reason at all.

But my mind has generated a vague and hazy thought:

Now that we're moving to the Alamo Drafthouse we are not only so "bad, we nation-wide," we're really International. While we will not be traveling to New Zealand as Tim did earlier this year to show them how to do Rolling Roadshows, the Drafthouse is well enough known now that people from all over the world look at its website often.

They will therefore be looking for our website also, much more so than in the past. The Alamo Drafthouse is not completely unique in concept, but being in Austin it is undoubtedly looked upon by many as the coolest movie theater there is.

Do we need a "presentation" page or something? I am very happy with this forum, but I do not know if it would offer enough to a casual visitor from out of state to make them sit back and go "Wow." We can draw the occasional road trip from DFW or Houston, as much by personal contact as anything, but someone from Chicago, for instance, might be itching for an excuse to visit Austin, the capital city of Texas, home of Lance Armstrong & the late Stevie Ray Vaughn, and the second city in the entire world to start showing RHPS as a midnight movie.

I don't even know how such a thing might be done or if it should be done. And I will never speculate abt who or where such an activity might occur.

We might also consider another run of tee shirts for the cast and crew. Last week on Saturday, I wanted to stay close to home (my father had gotten ill, and my mother's still in ICU), so I went to see PULP FICTION at the Village, and I wore my Austin Rocky shirt. And guess what? The colors match exactly the shirts worn by the Alamo staff! We're going to fit right in!

My head is killing me -- another sinus infection

So all those 17 and under on cast can't perform, or did we set something special up with the theatre?

I am planning on talking to them about taking the cast rules down this week. If anyone has an idea or something we could use for audience rules please let me know. Thanks!

For the cast the rules for age limits is staying the same as it is at Discount. It will be 16 (with signed note from parent) and 17 up everyone else. Younger than that has to have parent or guardian there at all times.

Speaking of cast rules... it is against the rules to get drunk while performing, isn't it? Or is it? On stage, I don't want to have to deal with it. (The Alamo sells beer, which is why I'm asking.)

Also, the Alamo has a hugely thriving tee shirt business, and now that they sell tee shirts online [http://www.mondotees.com/], they may want to at some point sell Austin Rocky shirts online -- which means someone has to work out some sort of details involving profit sharing because even though they're providing a lot, it's still us doing it.

Historically, being tipsy while performing has just been slightly frowned upon for the most part. People being too drunk to properly perform their part is cause for suspension and such though. And there's generally a zero tolerance policy for Eddies, due to the fact that they can easily injure Columbias doing lifts with them.

There will be no drinking what so ever for any playing member of cast. If you are not playing that night it is fine. If you are caught drinking while performing you will be suspended for two weekends. Thanks!

Oh yeah, like it's really going to matter if Crim has a beer or two during the show.

Rules are there for a reason, and if one person does it, everyone will do it.

The moral of the story, kids, is simple: get drunk BEFORE you come to the show. ;)

If you really want to drink, buy a ticket and sit in the audience.

joke time:

Three guys were sitting around talking.

One of them said, "I really like O'Reilly's bar. When you buy a beer, O'Reilly buys your next one."

The next guy says, "I like Vinnie's. When you buy a glass of wine, the next two are on the house."

The third guy says, "That' nothing -- I vote for Hammerhead Jack's. They'll buy you anything you want, and when you're finished, you can go in the back room and get laid!"

Someone says, 'Wow -- do you go there often?"

And he replies, "No, I've never been, but my sister was there last week!"
