I work for the Texas Legislative Office. Every once in a while, something about Denton County crosses my desk. I can't say specifically what, given my "do not release" contract, but suffice it to say it's always dry, dull, and long. But then I think of corsets and homos, and I smile, and my day gets a little bit brighter. Just thought I'd share.

I still work for the government. Nowadays I answer and route mail from folks who can't make sense of Texas state law. I guess they're just stupid, unable to make heads or tails of Texas' streamlined, efficient, straightforward assembly of codes and statutes.

Today I got one from the criminal district attorney in Tarrant County. Nice enough bloke, wondering if it would be all right for jails to have signs that tell pretrial detainees "hey, here's a place where you can get a cash bond, and look, a phone number."

What does that have to do with these boards? Man's name is Tim Curry.

My heart warms at that.
