OMG, so you want to talk about a tough choice. I can't decide if I want to go to this or Rocky Con. I am leaning more towards this seeings how Patricia Quinn will be there. It is the weekend before my birthday which is October 16th. Plus tickets are cheaper for this being $30 for the whole weekend, when Rocky Con is $75. Gas is going to be about the same, and so is the hotel. I can't decide. If anyone else is interested in going to this thing please talk to me. Thanks.

I think I'm even more excited about Ricou Browning being there than Patricia Quinn! (James and Trey and I celebrated Trey's and my birthdays a few days late by seeing "Creature From the Black Lagoon" in 3- D at the Paramount Thursday night... happy happy joy joy!) THANKS for posting this...
Howver, I still am leaning towards going to the Rocky con, because we had such a good time last time, and we really LIKED Tucson... we were hoping to be able to spend an extra day there this time and just see more of the city...

I completely forgot about the Creature showing. DAMN! I've always wanted to see a movie I love in 3D. There was a 3D mini revival in the early 80s, but those kinda sucked. I got to experience 3D as a teen, but the fare was Space Hunter, Metalstorm, Amityville 3, Treasure of the Four Crowns, Jaws 3, and the like.

Note that these have an average IMDB rating of 3.5. Shudder. (I never got to see Friday the 13th in 3D, unfortunately.)

I must confess that I saw both Space Hunter 3-D and Metalstorm 3-D in the theater as a kid... and I liked them! :D I mean come on, you've got both Molly Ringwald and Richard Moll in cheezy 3-D sci-fi movies. What's not to like? Speaking of horrible 80s movies, I also saw this one in the theater: Voyage of the Rock Aliens. Ouch.
