For those who aren't going to the Glee thingy, Jo's Coffee (the downtown location)is hosting a Rocky Horror screening/sing-a-long (the Chronicle says at 7pm, the Jo's site says at 8 ).Not the one on Congress but the one in the AMLI building at 242 W. Second St. (2nd @ Lavaca). If it was at the one on Congress I'd make poor Jimmy take me, butI think I've got enouh space to conquer (or vice-versa) this week already. (We did Rocky at the one on Congress about 9 years ago and it was great..you have a guy in drag chasing a shrieking woman in a bra and slip around a parking lot and since it was S. Congress back hen, no one batted an eye!) Still, anyone who's not a glee fan, there it is. Also, the band Chasca is doing their Rocky Horor Revue (they do songs from th movie in costume) at various locations around town: Thursdat Oct.28 @ Lucky Lounge, 209A W. 5th St., 11pm Saturday Oct. 30 and again Nov. 5 @ United States Art Authority (Spider House)...dors at 9 pm Sunday, Oct.31 @ Gray Horse Saloon in San Marcos...Chasca @ 9 pm, movie screens afterward! Whee! I wish I had a doppelganger...a non-agoraphobic one. (Only it wouldn't be a doppelganger then I guess).

Thanks for finding all those! I think I might have to check out Chasca on Thursday night at Lucky Lounge.

What an awesome show at Lucky Lounge! I think I enjoyed it more than the Rocky Horror Show production, actually. Their band did an outstanding job, as did all the costumed guest vocalists and such. Some random amusements:
- Dr. Scott on crutches at the microphone - Six kazoo intro for Frank-N-Furter's Fanfare before Fay Wray - Eddie harmonica solos
Very highly recommended, if you can get to one of their other two Austin dates!
